NEW YORK — July 1, 2009: Sirius XM Radio CEO Mel Karmazin has extended his employment agreement with the satcaster through December 31, 2012. He also gets a raise — to $1.5 million from $1.25 million. Karmazin recently called Sirius the U.S.’ “largest radio company” on the basis of its revenues — it brought in $606 million in the first quarter of this year, up 5 percent year-over-year — but the company has yet to turn a profit.
